Acehnese Rujak

This presented recipe comes from different parts of Nusantara. Fresh recipe for a snack or dessert is derived from Aceh. This snack rich in fiber is good for those who suffer from constipation.


2 jicamas
2 half-ripe mangoes
½ pineapple
½ pomelo taken meat
8 water apples
5 salaks cut into 2 cm
1 cucumber


750 ml of boiled water
2 red chilies
2 cayenne peppers
250 g of palm sugar
50 g of sugar
6 tbsp of lime juice
½ tsp of salt
½ tsp of shrimp paste

How to make:

Jicamas, mangoes, pineapple, water apples, and cucumber are sliced into a half centimeter.
Puree red chilies, cayenne peppers, salt, and shrimp paste.
Cook the palm and granulated sugars, and water to boiling.
Enter the puree to the sugar water.
Cook again until it's left five hundred milliliters.
Turn off the heat.
Give the lime juice.
Correct the taste to be sour and sweet.
After rather cool, put all the pieces that have been sliced.
Let stand until being absorbed and store in the refrigerator.
Rujak is ready to eat.
