Ginger for Cough

Ginger has been known as a stuff for warmth. Combined with other stuffs, it's believed to increase one's vitality. However, not only that is the function of ginger.

The volatile oils are helpful for pain relief, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial.

Here're some uses of ginger:

1. Colds

One thumb of old ginger is washed and crushed. Boil with two cups of water and give a little palm sugar. Simmer about a quarter hour then strain. Drink warm.

2. Cough

One thumb of ginger is washed and crushed. Boil with two cups of water until half. Drink the boiled water at once.

3. Headaches, migraines

One thumb of ginger is washed, burned, and crushed. Brew with a glass of water and give a little palm sugar. Drink the water as well.

4. Rheumatism, back pain

Mash a washed ginger rhizome and then give a little cologne. Rub onto the affected part.

5. Motion sickness, removing gas from stomach

One thumb of ginger rhizome is washed and sliced, then boil with a glass of water. Wait until slightly cool. Drink the boiled water at once.

6. Nausea

One thumb of ginger is washed and crushed. Brew with a glass of water. Give a little tamarind and rock sugar. Stir, strain, and drink as well.

7. Eczema

One thumb of ginger is grated and squeezed. Scar a radish also then mix with ginger juice. Add a little warm water. Stick it on the affected eczema.

8. Bright spot

Mash two segments of ginger and a handful of scarlet wisteria that've been washed. Apply these herbs on the skin with bright spot.

9. Sprains

Two segments of ginger is grated and added a little salt. Apply this mixture on a sprained limb. Do twice a day.

10. Vitiligo

Thirty grams of ginger is cleaned and made juice. Dab the juice on the skin suffering from vitiligo.

11. Ulcers

One thumb of ginger rhizome is washed and shredded. Use it to compress the wound.

12. Snakebite

Crush one thumb of ginger rhizome that's been washed. Give a little salt. Paste on the snakebite wound and immediately take it to the doctor.

13. Itching due to insect bite

Crushed ginger that's been washed. Rub on itchy areas.

14. Roundworms

Sixty grams of fresh ginger is washed, crushed, and given a glass of water. Strain and put one tablespoon of honey. This potion is to drink three times a day.
