Drink Lots of Water

Water. It sounds trivial but shouldn't be ignored. Prompt for drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day is important to prevent skin dehydration.

Drinking water is a good habit with a lot of benefits. After the digestive tract is rested overnight, when you wake up in the morning, drink a glass of water.

Drinking plenty of water, especially fresh water, makes skin moist because dehydrated body will absorb water from the body's cells, including skin cells. Water also removes toxins that gather in the skin so that the skin looks clean.

U.S. National Academy of Sciences recently issued a report on dietary requirements of water and electrolytes recommended by the Food and Nutrition Board, Institute of Medicine, USA.

It's said, it was actually difficult to suggest the amount of fluid intake in the prescribed amount because the need for fluids varied widely between individuals. It depended on the surrounding temperature, level of activity, a person's body surface area, and other factors.

However, the presence of Adequate Intake (AI) of water daily for someone is still required in order for sufficient water level in the body and preventing dehydration. For example, for a healthy adult male is approximately 3.7 l a day, and for a healthy adult woman is around 2.7 l a day.

In the report emphasized that approximately 80% of AI was normally obtained from water and other types of beverages, and 20% was from food.

Water is needed to facilitate the disposal of the body's metabolism results no longer needed in the feces, urine, and sweat. Therefore, make it a habit to bring drinking water supplies wherever you go.
